Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027

Are you planning a large-scale project in the fields of asylum, integration, return or solidarity? Then you can apply for EU funding by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) 2021-2027. The AMIF Managing Authority awards funding to project executing agencies to support these types of projects.

The legally binding commitment of funds in the call for funding expired on December 31, 2024 as planned. The call for funding is currently being revised. As soon as the necessary information is available from the European Commission and the budget has been approved by the monitoring committee, an adapted call for funding will be published.
For the time being, no consultations can be held nor new project applications can be submitted.

The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) is a European fund that supports EU Member States in implementing European asylum and integration policies. Find out more about the AMIF.

In the period 2021 to 2027, the fund supports projects in the fields of:

  • Strengthening and developing the common European asylum system
  • Supporting legal migration and con-tributing to the effective integration of third-country nationals – non-EU citizens
  • Countering irregular migration and ensuring effectiveness of return and readmission in third countries
  • Enhancing solidarity and the equitable sharing of responsibilities among EU Member States

The 'Call for Proposals 2021-2027 for the Submission of Project Applications for Funding from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the AMIF Managing Authority Federal Office for Migration and Refugees' supplements and specifies the funding requirements of the 'Directive on the Granting of Funding under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027' and applies to the period from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2024.

The Federal Government has worked at the European level to ensure that the available funds from the AMIF 2021-2027 can also be used for refugees from Ukraine as quickly and unbureaucratically as possible. The Funding Atlas (in German) provides further information on this topic.
